I installed these myself. Love the light they give off. Put one on my front porch and one on the side porch. Only complaint is that they go through batteries pretty quickly. The long lasting batteries seem to do better. But in general very happy with them.It needs to have direct sunlight for it to shine brighter in the night.They put off the right amount of light for our deck and pool.I ordered 2 for my back deck. They are very bright, and last well into the night as long as it is sunny and bright during the day. Overall they work as expected.I installed 4 of these around my post to make a brighter post light. Only had these a little over a month and already 1 of them does not work. Had to order new batteries off Amazon to get the light to work again.IPDATE::: bought the two light set; now I have one on either side of my door, and am using the “broken” one as a light by the sidewalk. I always had a driveway light, and now have a unique marker so I don’t go past my own driveway. **be forewarned: do not let them lay out in the rain if they come off. The original light has gotten blown off during rain storms, and has gotten drowned in water, so it works sporadically; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The new ones on the side of the house have worked beautifully and have not been blown off (yet).I ordered this light because I needed light over my side door. We had a little difficulty mounting on the side of the house; we needed a certain type of drill bit, and better drill; but we got it installed, and it was fantastic. My neighbor adored “our new light”. Unfortunately in November we had really bad winds, and they literally pulled the light off the house. I found it in pieces on the driveway. But because I loved it, I ordered 2 more, and hope to have them installed soon, so I can have light by my side door again.Easy to install. bright light, solar works good. No batteries in this one to change and it provides lots of light. we use it dawn to dusk.This is the perfect solar porch light for a small home. It stays on from dusk to dawn and installed in a couple minutes.
